
A Special SendAustin Correspondent is on the ARG adult team, the one that we are super skeptical about. The SSAC is graciously sharing his insights with us about the team thing — attitude, efficacy, and so on. Here is what he has reported:
So far, the team is way into conditioning. Lots of power packs (climb, do push ups, do sit ups, climb again, repeat) and 4×4s (climb climb climb climb rest rest rest rest repeat four times). As someone who struggled to be motivated to do a lot of conditioning, or inflict the pain of projecting himself into a depression, SASC is finding the team practice very helpful, and thinks it will make a big improvement in his mindset and physical ability

Oh, also, we added a new video to the “Climbing Specific Training” section of our I want to climb better…frustrated page. It’s that viral vid about Sonny Trotter campus training. It hurts to watch, but is nonetheless informative.
